How much does web application development cost?
It depends on project scope. Base hourly rate is 2,500 CZK/h (approx. €100). For projects above 300 hours the rate drops (from 1,800 CZK/h). For clearly defined briefs I provide a non-binding quote as a price ceiling I will not exceed.
How long does a project take?
Small fixes and updates: days. MVP web application: typically 4–8 weeks. Larger B2B applications run as long-term cooperation for 6+ months. I provide a concrete timeline after reviewing the brief.
Do you charge hourly or fixed price?
Both. Hourly works best for ongoing changes and undefined scopes. Fixed-price ceiling works for clearly defined briefs. I bill by the minute, not the hour.
What technologies do you use?
Backend: PHP (Nette, Symfony), REST API, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, GitLab CI/CD. Frontend: React, TypeScript. Mobile: Swift, SwiftUI (native iOS). 25 years of business application development experience.
Do you work only for clients in Prague?
No. I work remotely for clients across the EU. In-person meetings in Prague are possible but most cooperation runs online (email, video calls, GitLab). I communicate in English, Czech and German.
Can you take over a project from another developer?
Yes. I frequently take over legacy projects. I start with a code audit (typically 4–8 hours), propose a migration or refactoring path, and only then begin work. I specialize in rescuing Nette and Symfony applications.
